Instead of breaking the Audi TT's features up into trim levels, Audi simply offers the model as either a four-door coupe or a two-door convertible called the Roadster. Highlight features on the Audi TT include 18-inch wheels, automatic LED headlights and windshield wipers, an auto-deploying rear spoiler, LED ambient interior lighting, heated power-folding mirrors, keyless entry and ignition, summer performance tires, a universal garage door opener, and switchable drive settings described below.

As expected, the Roadster model includes a power-folding soft top, along with protective roll hoops, a power wind blocker, and a seatbelt-mounted microphone to better deliver voice commands or take calls with the top down. Coupe models have folding rear seatbacks, while Roadster models are front-seat-only.

Engine (Power)

All versions of the 2017 Audi TT use a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates up to 220 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. This engine is configured for all-wheel drive and uses a six-speed automated manual transmission. This transmission style is similar to a stick shift, but with no clutch pedal, so drivers familiar or unfamiliar with manual driving will likely enjoy the TT.

Performance

The 2017 TT goes from 0-60 miles per hour in 5.5 seconds and features Audi Drive Select. This system allows the driver to adjust the steering weight, transmission, and throttle sensitivity on the fly. The sport steering wheel comes with shifter paddles for additional control. All in all, the TT shows the benefit of combining a tight, linear driving style with a secure all-wheel-drive system and lightweight body. The TT is fast yet quiet on the highway, especially in coupe form, and epitomizes the business-casual mindset.

Interior

The 2017 TT offers a top-tier cabin with the latest features, including a nine-speaker audio system, a high-resolution virtual gauge cluster, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, and Audi's MMI infotainment system with satellite radio, two USB ports, an auxiliary jack, a CD and DVD player, an SD card reader, and voice controls.

For comfort, the TT has automatic climate control, heated eight-way power front seats with four-way lumbar support, and a mix of real leather and imitation suede. Drivers who want to get particularly fancy can choose the S Sport Seat package, which includes upgraded leather and sport seating, with neck heating vents on Roadster models.

Safety Features

Safety technology on the 2017 TT includes anti-lock disc brakes, front side air bags, a rearview camera, front knee airbags, and side curtain airbags for more protection in the coupe. An optional technology package adds blind-spot monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, full navigation, and the Audi connect telematics system, which offers roadside assistance and other emergency features.
