Trims (Exterior)
The 2018 Audi Q5 has three simple trims for you to choose from. The list starts with the Premium, which offers excellent features like three-zone automatic climate control, eight-way adjustable front seats with leather upholstery, and an infotainment center with a 7-inch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth hands-free calls and audio streaming, and more. Next, the Premium Plus trim adds full LED headlights, a keyless entry system with a hands-free liftgate, and heated front seats with driver memory. Finally there's the Prestige, which includes a 19-speaker 3-D audio system by Bang and Olufsen, and the Audi virtual cockpit with head-up display.
Engine (Power)
All three 2018 Q5 trims feature a small but potent 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Thanks to its turbocharger, the engine offers 252 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. You also get a standard seven-speed automatic transmission with S-tronic dual-clutch technology and a pair of paddle shifters for manual control. While the engine gives the Q5 a potent performance, it still offers 23 city and 27 highway mpg.
Performance
The 2018 Audi Q5 offers great performance even for the luxury SUV class. It can reach 60 mph in 5.9 seconds, and it has a top speed of 130 mph. Audi's Quattro all-wheel drive comes standard on every model, giving you excellent traction when you need it and an efficient front-wheel drive mode when you don't. You also get Audi's Drive Select, which lets you pick from five drive modes and adjust the Audi's performance for better handling, more comfort, or a mix of the two.
Interior
Although the 2018 Q5 is a compact vehicle it has space to spare, with 26.8 cubic feet behind the rear seats and up to 60.4 cubic feet when you fold them down. A fully loaded Q5 has more than a few features to offer, too, such as a panoramic sunroof, 40/20/40 split rear seats with a reclining function, and a four-way power lumbar adjuster for the driver's seat. On the Prestige trim, the infotainment system has an 8.3-inch display, HD radio and a three-month subscription to SiriusXM, and a navigation system you can control with voice commands.
Safety
You don't have to worry about safety in a 2018 Audi Q5. Along with basics like six air bags, electronic brake-pressure distribution, and electronic stability control, standard features include a rearview camera, automatic headlights and wipers, and Audi Pre Sense City, a system with a forward collision warning with active braking and pedestrian detection. Advanced models also have Vehicle Exit Assist, a system that warns you of approaching vehicles and bicycles when you exit your car on the street. You can also get a top-view camera system that gives you a bird's-eye view of your vehicle for safe parking.
