2018 Lincoln MKC
The MKC takes the comforts and advanced features of a Lincoln and shrinks them into a compact crossover. As a compact, the 2018 MKC doesn't come with every feature, but in exchange, it has a good starting price and an efficient mileage rating.
Trim Levels
You can get your 2018 Lincoln MKC as a Premiere, a Select, or a Reserve. With the Premiere you get important basics like a power liftgate, heated side mirrors with memory settings, and an infotainment system with an 8-inch touch screen. The Select offers upgrades like an available twin-turbo engine, configurable daytime running lights, real wood trim, and Bridge of Weir leather seats. Last is the Reserve, and this trim offers a hands-free liftgate, heated and cooled front seats, and a standard navigation system.
Engine
The standard engine in all three trims of the MKC is a turbo 2.0-liter I-4 engine that provides up to 245 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. It comes with either FWD or AWD, and with FWD you get an EPA-estimated 28 mpg on the highway. The top two trims can upgrade to a 2.3-liter I-4 engine with a twin-turbo design, and with this engine, you'll get 285 horsepower and 305 pound-feet of torque. Also, all-wheel drive comes standard with the bigger engine. With either engine and the right towing package, an MKC can tow up to 3,000 pounds.
Performance
The 2018 Lincoln MKC is all about comfort and convenience, and so you can expect a smooth ride no matter which engine or trim you choose. And if you get the adaptive suspension that's available on all three trims, your ride will become even smoother. All-wheel drive is another option for drivers who like the added traction on rough roads you get with the feature, but no matter which model you buy, you'll get auto start-stop technology, a feature that can turn off the engine for long waits at stoplights.
Interior
The 2018 MKC offers a spacious 25.2 cubic feet behind its back row, and once you fold the seats down you'll get 53.1 cubic feet to store whatever you need to carry. As for the feature list, you can get an MKC crossover with options like a nine-speaker sound system with the THX II certification, 12-way adjustable front seats with climate control, active noise control, and a push-button shifter. You can also expect standard features like dual-zone automatic climate control and Lincoln Connect, a built-in 4G Wi-Fi hotspot.
Safety Features
The 2018 Lincoln MKC covers the safety basics with features like a rearview camera, seven air bags, the Personal Safety System, and the SOS Post-Crash Alert System. Depending on the model and the options, you can also get driver assistance features like the Blind Spot Information System, automatic high beams, the Forward Sensing System, and the Lane Keeping System. You can also get Adaptive Cruise Control and Collision Warning with Brake Support, a feature that will warn you if you're about to run into something and can start braking automatically.
