2018 Lincoln Navigator
2018 marks the 10th anniversary of the Lincoln Navigator, a full-size SUV with all the power and durability of a Ford but all the luxury and comfort of a Lincoln. The Navigator has been a signature Lincoln vehicle since its introduction, and that's only become more true now that the company has completely redesigned the SUV for its anniversary.
Trim Levels
You can get a 2018 Lincoln Navigator in one of six trim levels: Premiere, Select, Select L, Reserve, Reserve L, and Black Label. With the Premiere you get to enjoy standard features like a turbocharged V-6 engine, automatic LED headlights, and a 10-inch touch screen for the infotainment system. By the time you get to the Reserve trim you also get an adaptive suspension, an available extended wheelbase, and a panoramic sunroof. Finally, the Black Label trim gives you standard features like a head-up display, driver assistance features, and trailering equipment.
Engine
Every 2018 Navigator comes standard with a 3.5-liter V-6 engine with twin turbochargers, 450 horsepower, and 510 pound-feet of torque. It comes mated to an advanced 10-speed automatic transmission, and it also has either a 2x4 or 4x4 drivetrain. With the 2x4 transmission, the shorter body design, and the right trailer equipment, the Navigator has a towing limit of 8,700 pounds. That's enough to pull a decent-size boat, and even with the longer body and a 4x4 drivetrain, the SUV can still manage 8,100 pounds.
Performance
The 2018 Lincoln Navigator starts with the same basic frame as the legendary F-150, which helps explain why the vehicle is so tough and dependable. But while the luxury SUV starts with a truck frame, it builds on that in ways only a luxury vehicle can: the Navigator offers six drive modes for different road conditions, available 22-inch wheels, and an active suspension that switches between comfort and performance based on which drive mode you have active.
Interior
You won't find any other 2018 luxury SUV with as much cargo space as the Navigator. Cargo space starts with a respectable 19.3 cubic feet behind the third row, or 34.3 cubic feet if you get an L trim with the extended body. And while the regular Navigator can fit 103.3 cubic feet when you fold down the back two rows, the Navigator L offers 120.2 cubic feet. The Navigator doesn't lack for interior features, either: depending on the model you can get things like a 20-speaker audio system designed by Revel Ultima, 30-way adjustable front seats, and tri-zone automatic climate control.
Safety Features
You won't have to worry about safety in a 2018 Lincoln Navigator thanks to standard features like six air bags, the Personal Safety System, the SOS Post-Crash Alert System, and a rearview camera with a built-in washer. Depending on the trim you can also get several advanced safety features like a 360-degree camera with a top-down viewpoint, a Forward Sensing System, Adaptive Cruise Control with Collision Mitigation, and the Enhanced Active Park Assist. That last system helps direct you into parallel parking spots without bumping into other cars or the curb.
