2018 Nissan Versa
The Nissan Versa is a subcompact sedan with a spacious interior, room for up to five passengers, and many of the latest technology features. For 2018, Nissan added map lights, adjustable front headlights, and a new exterior color along with variable intermittent wipers to all the trims. Nissan also discontinued the SL trim, and the base trim now comes only with the five-speed manual transmission. Here are some more details on the 2018 Nissan Versa.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The Versa is one of the larger subcompact sedans with an overall length of over 175 centimeters. The exterior style rivals other more expensive vehicles with a surround chrome grill, chrome door handles, and body-color mirrors. It comes in three trim levels starting off with the S. This has 15-inch steel wheels, manual locks, and power mirrors. A bump up to the S Plus will get you a rear spoiler and cruise control along with an automatic transmission. The top-level SV trim comes with keyless entry and some interior upgrades. There is also the Special Edition Package which adds 15-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, and more technology.
Engine
All the Versa models come with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 109 horsepower and 107 pound-feet of torque. The base S trim is the only model to get the five-speed manual transmission, and the other two get a continuously variable automatic transmission. All models are front wheel drive.
Performance
Even though the Versa is a budget-friendly compact, it offers a nice ride. The suspension works well to even out the bumps in the road, and it is quiet on the inside. The CVT shifts smoothly through the gears and offers better fuel economy than the manual. You can expect to get 31 miles per gallon in the city and 39 mpg on the highway with the CVT and 27 miles per gallon in the city and 36 mpg on the highway with the manual. The small size and good fuel economy make this an excellent city driving car.
Interior
The Versa's cabin is one of the largest in its class. The trunk is also spacious with 14.9 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats up, and in the higher trims, the rear seats fold down to open up more space. All the trims come with Bluetooth, and if you upgrade to the SV trim you'll get a USB port, power locks and windows, and a media player interface for the stereo system. The Special Edition package upgrades the interior with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and it adds Bluetooth for audio, a 5-inch touch screen display, and satellite radio
Safety Features
All the models come with front-seat-mounted side air bags, vehicle dynamic control, and traction control. It also has roof-mounted side-curtain air bags, and Nissan constructed the Versa with front and rear crumple zones, along with a steering column designed to absorb energy in the event of a collision. If you bump up to the SV with the Special Edition package, you'll get a rearview camera.

Compare to 2017 Versa
