2019 Audi e-tron

Starting at $74,800*
The future of electric cars is now. With the release of the 2019 e-tron, Audi brings one of the first fully electric vehicles to the luxury market, entering a new era for the German automaker. Based on the Q lineup of Audi vehicles, the e-tron swims through unchartered waters and emerges as a solid contender in the market due to its convenient and versatile SUV body. With efficiency, luxury, technology, and more, the 2019 Audi e-tron is the beginning of a legacy.
Trim Levels
For the 2019 model year, Audi introduces just a sole trim level, but with all it has to offer, few will complain. One of the most interesting features is the shorter, wider octagonal grille, which separates the e-tron from its gas-powered cohorts. Sporty, narrow LED headlamps give the e-tron an authentically Audi appearance. Around back, LED taillights do the same. Overall, the 2019 e-tron is aesthetically similar to the Audi Q5, although it's stretched a bit longer to accommodate more storage capacity. Another intriguing amenity is the replacement of side mirrors with cameras. On each side, the e-tron's camera displays what a side mirror would show on 7-inch OLED screens mounted on the interior of the door. It may take some getting used to, but it's a futuristic feature that's bound to attract tech enthusiasts and gearheads alike
Engine
Don't let the fully electric powertrain fool you. The 2019 Audi e-tron packs the power of a heavyweight. Using two electric motors and a 95-kWh battery pack, the e-tron pumps out a ferocious 355 horsepower and 414 lb-ft of torque. Power mode is even more impressive. When activated, this mode boosts the e-tron's performance numbers to 402 horsepower and 490 lb-ft of torque. At its highest level, the e-tron can go from 0-60 in under 6 seconds with a governor-limited top speed of 124.3 mph. That's some serious power for a vehicle that doesn't use a single drop of gasoline.
Performance
The EPA has yet to test the 2019 Audi e-tron, but early estimates show that it will have a range of about 250 miles on a single charge. This puts it in the upper tier of all electric vehicles, but what separates it from the pack is its 150-watt charging capability. With this feature, the e-tron can get an 80 percent charge (200 miles) in just 30 minutes from your home's outlets.
Interior
The highlight of the e-tron's interior is Audi Virtual Cockpit, replacing traditional gauges with a fully customizable display for your viewing and driving pleasure. An upgraded infotainment system will sit in the middle of the console, allowing you full access to navigation, music, weather, and more. Slightly larger than the Q5, the 2019 e-tron has seating for up to five passengers. Although Audi hasn't released specific numbers, expect the all-electric SUV to provide slightly more space than the Q5's 60.4 cubic feet.
Safety Features
The 2019 Audi e-tron will come with a swath of driver-assist safety features. Designed to mitigate the occurrence of accidents or collisions, these amenities include Audi pre sense, adaptive cruise control, active lane assist, traffic jam pilot, and collision-avoidance assist.
