Trim Levels
The Toyota Corolla has six different trims. The L, which is the base model, starts at $18,700. It comes with bi-LED headlights and LED daytime running lights. The next trim is the LE trim. It starts at $19,135 and includes remote keyless entry. For a more fuel-efficient option, the LE Eco starts at $19,535 and has an available option for 16-inch machined alloy wheels. The XLE starts at $22,135. It comes with multi-LED headlights that are accompanied by LED accent lights. Additionally, it has a power tilt/slide moonroof with a sliding sunshade. The final two models available are the SE, which starts at $20,645, and the XSE that starts at $22,880. The SE comes with a sporty front fascia, a rear spoiler, and 17-inch machined alloy wheels with black painted accents. Similar to the XLE, the XSE comes with a power tilt/slide moonroof.
Engine
The Toyota Corolla has two engine options. The LE Eco trim comes with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that has Valvematic technology. The engine gets 140 horsepower and 126 pound-feet of torque. The Eco engine gets 30 miles per gallon in the city and 40 mpg on the highway, with a combined average of 34 mpg. The engine that comes with the other five Corolla models is a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that has Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence. It generates 132 horsepower and 128 pound-feet of torque. The mileage for this engine is 28 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway. It gets a combined average of 31 mpg.
Performance
The 2018 Toyota Corolla trims have an Ultra Low Emission Vehicle II rating, while the Eco LE trim has a California LEV 3 emission rating. All trims come standard with a Continuously Variable Transmission with intelligence and Shift Mode (CVTi-S). The SE also has the option of a six-speed manual transmission that comes with Normal and Sport driving modes. An additional feature available with the LE Eco trim is a package that offers Normal and ECO driving modes.
Interior
Inside the Corolla, you will find a fluid dashboard that has an upscale feel with its 6.1-inch or 7-inch high-resolution touch screen. The vehicles are equipped with Entune Audio, Entune Audio Plus, or Entune Audio Premium. For comfortable seating, you'll find SofTex-trimmed front seats for the XLE and upper trims. These leather-like seats are water resistant, stain resistant, and very supportive. In the back, you will find 60/40 split rear seats so that you can get extra space when you need it.
