2021 Ford Super Duty
Meet the 2021 Ford Super Duty truck line. These iconic F-series Super Duty trucks are loaded with power, are roomier and more comfortable than ever, and come with the latest technology to keep you connected no matter where the job site takes you. Here's a look at the best features on the Super Duty lineup.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
Six trims are available on the Super Duty in three chassis sizes. The XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited trims can come in either the F-250, F-350, or F-450 chassis. Add in the super cab and super crew options, off-road packages, and short or long bed configurations and you've got a truck for just about any job.
The Super Duty features the only light-weight, high-strength, aluminum-alloy body in its class. Ford takes that weight loss and puts it into the steel frame for a more rugged, durable truck. With the Tremor Off-Road Package, you can fit up to 35-inch traction tires giving you superior grip and style.
Engine (Power)
Three engines power the Super Duty lineup. The base engine in the F-250 and F-350 models is Ford's 6.2-liter flex-fuel gas engine. The F-250 is paired with the TorqShift G six-speed transmission while the F-350 gets a 10-speed TorqShift automatic transmission. This engine puts out 385 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque.
Next up is the 7.2-liter push-rod V-8 engine with overhead valves and port fuel injection. Mated to the TorqShift 10-speed automatic transmission this powertrain gets 430 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque making it the most powerful gas V-8 engine in its class.
For some serious power, you can opt for the 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V-8 engine. Combustion is optimized through the new 36,000-psi fuel injection system that atomizes fuel up to eight times per stroke. The result is a monstrous 475 horsepower and 1,050 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
You can haul up to 21,000 pounds in the conventional gas engine, up to 24,000 pounds in the turbo-diesel, and up to 37,000 pounds with the gooseneck configuration. It also features a best-in-class PTO system to power all your upfit equipment.
You get a best-in-class payload of up to 7,850 pounds and an available integrated electric winch will help pull the competition out of the mud you just cleared. Driver select modes allow you to tailor your ride to the terrain, including Rock-Crawl and Trail Control.
Interior
Inside you'll find convenient rear seat storage and under-seat storage that locks for added security. Upfitter switches can be installed in an overhead console to control all your accessories. FordPass Connect with SYNC 3 allows you to connect up to 10 devices with its 4G-LTE WiFi hotspot. You can access all your smart devices through the touchscreen display to send and receive calls, texts, and more hands-free.
Safety Features
Your Super Duty comes with a variety of driver-assist systems that use advanced technology to monitor the road around you. These systems include Pro-Trailer Backup Assist, Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Blind Spot Information System. These systems alert you to potential collisions and can even apply additional brake support to help if necessary.
