Trim Levels (Exterior)
Lincoln offers five trims of the 2022 Aviator, the Standard, Reserve, Grand Touring, Black Label, and the top-tier hybrid Black Label Grand Touring. With artful and sleek styling, the Aviator has refined lines from the front to the rear of this handsome SUV. The sculpted door and body panels add a touch of rugged refinement to this luxury SUV and when combines with 20-inch machined aluminum wheels available with the Premium Package, the Aviator has a sophisticated futuristic appearance.
Engine (Power)
The Standard, Reserve, Grand Touring, and Black Label all carry a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 engine that delivers 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. Move up to the hybrid Black Label Grand Touring to get the same engine that pairs with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery pack to produce 494 horsepower and a massive 630 pound-feet of torque. Both engines pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission for seamless shifting.
Performance
The three lower Aviator trims come standard with rear-wheel drive with the option to upgrade to all-wheel drive which comes standard on the tow Black Label trims. While the Aviator handles smoothly due to its advanced suspension system, adding the available Air Glide Suspension system helps to stabilize the SUV. This system inflates and deflates as needed, making entering and exiting the SUV a breeze.
When you encounter changing terrain or weather conditions, simply use the Lincoln Drive Modes. Each mode alters the suspension, ride height, steering, and shift points to adapt to the new condition. Because the Black Label Grand Touring is a hybrid, it comes with two extra modes, Pure EV for an all-electric drive, and Preserve EV that helps preserve the battery power for later. When properly equipped, the Lincoln Navigator can tow up to 6,700 pounds.
Interior
The luxurious Aviator comes with three rows of seats that fit up to seven people. Swap out the second-row bench seat for two captain's chairs and there's seating for up to six people. High-quality synthetic leather upholstery comes standard on the lower trims and as you move up to the higher tiers, you get supple leather upholstery, multi-adjustable power seats, and climate-controlled seats. Depending on the seating configurations, the Aviator gets between 18.3 to 77.7 cubic feet of cargo space.
Standard across all trims is a 10.1-inch touch screen that comes with Lincoln's infotainment system. Key features of the system include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, Bluetooth, and a Wi-Fi hot spot. The upper trims get a wireless charging pad, navigation, and a 14-speaker premium sound system.
Safety Features
Depending on the trim and available add-on package, the 2022 Lincoln Navigator comes with driver-assist features to help keep you and your family safe. Key features include adaptive cruise control, a head-up display, and road-sign recognition. Advanced features include blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and a forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking.
