2022 Nissan Maxima
The Nissan Maxima is one of the sleekest looking sedans on the market. It combines sporty and upscale elements inside and out and tops it all off with a peppy engine. The only change for the 2022 model year is the addition of heated rear seats as a standard feature in the top-level Platinum. Other than this, the 2022 Maxima carries over without any changes. Here's a look.

Trim Levels (Exterior)
You'll have three different trim to choose from with the Maxima. The base is the SV. It comes with LED headlights, keyless entry, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights, and LED daytime running lights. A step up to the SR adds fog lights, a sunroof, and a sport-tuned suspension. It also has some additional sporty elements, including 19-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, and gloss-black exterior trim elements. The top-level Platinum has the same suspension as the SV and removes the black trims. It adds automatic wipers and several upgrades in the cabin.
Engine (Power)
Every Maxima gets power from a 3.5-liter V-6 gas engine. It develops 300 horsepower and generates 261 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard for all trims, and it comes with a continuously variable automatic transmission.
Performance
The V-6 propels the Maxima with ease, getting the sedan up to 60 mph in just 5.7 seconds. Passengers will appreciate the well-tuned suspension that eats up road imperfections and prevents body lean when taking tight corners. This sedan is also fuel-efficient. You can expect to get up to 30 mpg on the highway, and it can get 20 mpg in the city.
Interior
The Maxima's upscale cabin has room for five. It's filled with high-quality materials and has a thoughtful layout. A flat-bottomed steering wheel comes standard, giving it a sporty feel. Other standard features include dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, and leather upholstery, with ventilated front seats added in the SR along with a heated steering wheel and paddle shifters. The top-level Platinum adds premium leather upholstery and comes standard with heated rear seats.
The technology in the Maxima starts with an 8-inch touch screen, a Wi-Fi hot spot, satellite radio, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Every model also has voice recognition, Bluetooth, two USB ports in front, and navigation. There's an eight-speaker stereo in the SV, but this upgrades to an 11-speaker Bose system in the SR. Two rear-seat USB ports are also available.
Safety Features
Every Maxima comes standard with a long list of safety features. You'll get a front collision warning system, adaptive cruise control, and a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert with every trim. Rear automatic braking is another standard feature, along with lane-departure warning, automatic high beam headlights, a traffic sign reader, and a driver attention monitor. The SR adds some additional safety features. This trim and the Platinum also come with front, and rear parking sensors, a surround-view camera system, and they add a lane-keeping assist system that will steer the car back into its lane when it senses drifting.
