Trim Levels (Exterior)
The entry-level Murano S has 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and taillights, and keyless entry. Stepping up to the SV gets you LED fog lights, heated side exterior mirrors, and roof rails. If you add the new Midnight Edition, it will equip the Murano with 20-inch black wheels and black exterior trim elements, including the roof rails, mirror caps, and front grille. Another bump up to the SL adds 20-inch wheels, a hands-free liftgate, and the option for a panoramic sunroof, while the top-level Platinum comes standard with the panoramic sunroof.
Engine (Power)
Every Murano gets power from the same 3.5-liter V-6 gas engine. It puts out 260 horsepower and gets 240 pound-feet of torque. A continuously variable automatic transmission works with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive for the entire lineup.
Performance
The V-6 has plenty of muscle for the midsize Murano and will briskly get it up to 60 mph. This SUV provides a smooth and composed ride over most surfaces. Its suspension keeps it connected to the road, and helps the SUV remain stable even around tight corners. It's also fuel efficient with an EPA rating of 28 mpg on the highway and 20 mpg when driving in the city. The Murano can tow up to 1,500 pounds when equipped with the optional tow package.
Interior
Both rows in the Murano have comfortable seats, with cloth upholstery and manually adjustable front seats in the base trim. The SV adds heated front seats with a power-adjustment feature, and it comes with simulated leather upholstery. The SL adds driver's seat memory settings and leather upholstery, and it also has heated rear seats. Choose the Platinum for ventilated front seats, a power-adjustable steering wheel, and upgraded leather upholstery. Standard technology features start with an 8-inch touch screen, a six-speaker stereo system, satellite radio, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You'll also get four USB ports in the base Murano. The SL adds an 11-speaker Bose stereo system and navigation, and the Platinum comes with the NissanConnect emergency services system.
Safety Features
The long list of standard safety systems helps keep everyone in the Murano safe. It includes forward-collision warning with mitigation, a blind-spot monitor, rear automatic braking, rear cross-path detection, lane-departure warning with mitigation, and rear parking sensors. A drowsy driver monitoring system is another standard safety feature, and every model also comes with a rear door alert and automatic high beam headlights. Stepping up to the SV gets you adaptive cruise control as a standard feature, and it also adds front parking sensors. The SL adds a surround-view parking camera system with a 360-degree view around the Murano.
