lincoln navigator concept

We’re not really sure what to think of Lincoln’s Navigator concept. Its gullwing doors and retractable steps make it look like it’s ready for a summer vacation to the Andromeda Galaxy – but who wouldn’t you want to traverse the galaxy in an interior as nice as this?

As always, Lincoln has styled the inside of their new concept with some exquisite materials. The grey leather and light wooden trim complement one another harmoniously, but don’t over-do the ascetics; everything is very clean, simple, and balanced. The interior is also packed with a plethora of distracting devices to keep everyone placated during a long journey. No ornery aliens in this spacecraft!

The outside doesn’t look too shabby either. If you were to pass another family while floating through the endless void of outer space, they’d surely gawk at the Lincoln Navigator’s clean sidewalls, mesmerizing rims, and distinguished shape. They’d probably also mistake it for a cargo supply ship, since the Navigator is so massive.

That imposing stature is part of the Navigator’s allure, though; it looks strong, commanding, and safe. Of course, we’ll have to wait for the official testing to know how safe it really is. We just assume being on the wrong end of this Lincoln Navigator concept would be less than splendid.

Unfortunately, there’s no promise that the Lincoln Navigator’s gullwing doors will make it to production. That may be good news for some, but we’re disappointed. Why? It looks different and different is cool. If Elon Musk can make it work, so can Matthew McConaughey.

The Lincoln Navigator currently starts at $63,195. That’s nearly $10,000 less than a Cadillac Escalade, which has got nothing on this space ship. We’ll keep you posted on any new information we learn about the Lincoln Navigator concept, and keep our fingers crossed for the gullwing doors.
