Oh frabjous day. It’s one thing to ring in the new year, but we don’t really get excited until the North American International Auto Show kicks off. Held annually in Detroit, the 2015 edition of the show began this morning. All of the biggest, most important automakers will be there, hoping to set the tone and create big expectations for the rest of the year.

We’ll see new models, new concepts, and new technology on display. There will be photos, videos, and sound bites galore.

Until 1989, the Detroit Auto Show was just that, the Detroit Auto Show. It was a strictly regional affair that had been held with few interruptions since 1907. Now, NAIAS is a world-class event, inspiring millions that have walked through the exhibitions at COBO Hall over the years.
