There are six trim levels for the 2017 200: the LX, Touring, Limited Platinum, 200S, 200S Alloy Edition and 200C Platinum. Highlight features of the LX include 17-inch steel wheels, keyless entry and ignition, automatic headlights, and a four-speaker audio system with one auxiliary jack and USB port. The Touring includes an infotainment system and adds 17-inch alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and floor mats. The Limited Platinum adds power heated front seats, leather seating, a six-speaker sound system, an 8.4-inch upgraded infotainment screen, and much more.

The 200S adds 18-inch wheels, heated mirrors, a sport suspension, power heated sport front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and other upgrades on top of a wide selection of options. The 200S Alloy Edition is the same as the 200S but with unique dark bronze body trim and 19-inch wheels. Finally, the 200C Platinum comes with trim-unique seating and suspension, top-level lighting features, dual-zone automatic climate control with rear air vents, upgraded gauges, a 10-speaker Alpine audio system, and all non-replaced 200S equipment.

Engine (Power)

Most versions of the 2017 Chrysler 200 uses a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 184 horsepower and 173 lb-ft of torque. This engine is matched to a nine-speed automatic transmission and equipped with front-wheel drive. The 200S and 200C Platinum have a 3.6-liter V6 alternative with 295 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, also paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The V6 offers all-wheel drive. The four-cylinder earns a total of 23 city and 36 highway miles per gallon, while the V6 in front-wheel drive still earns 19 city and 32 highway mpg.

Performance

The 200's V6 alternative engine is one of the strongest V6 upgrades offered in the midsize sedan class, but the four-cylinder is more than enough for drivers who don't prioritize sporty driving. The optional sport-tuned suspension makes sharp turns or curves more fun, but in either case, the Chrysler is a safe and pleasant vehicle to drive, boasting a good turn radius and stopping distance.

Interior

The 2017 Chrysler 200 stands out, with a modern cabin and intuitive touchscreen interface. Height-adjustable front seats and 60/40-split folding rear seats are standard, and the 200 offers a solid 16 cubic feet of cargo space. Drivers who want an infotainment system can opt for a five-inch Uconnect 5.0 touchscreen with satellite radio and full Bluetooth connectivity, but unlike in many competing sedans, the infotainment system isn't a standard feature.

Safety Features

The 200 is as advanced in entertainment and comfort areas as it is in safety and earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's Top Safety Pick+ award. All models come with stability and traction control, full-length side curtain air bags, front knee air bags, and anti-lock brakes. Higher trims either offer or include blind spot warnings, lane departure warnings, adaptive cruise control, and even autonomous parallel and perpendicular parking.
