8 Ways to Get Your Car Track-Ready

Before your big day on the track, it is important to have your car inspected by a trained technician. They will check the following:

Track Day Tech Tips

1. Belts and Fluids

Make sure everything is recent and your brake lines have no cracks. Brake pads should look good. Flush your brakes and add new fluid.

2. Tires

Tires should be in good condition. No patches or excessive wear. If so, they will need to be replaced before getting on the track.

3. Seat and Seatbelt

Check that they are working properly and securely attached.

4. Steering Wheel

Steering wheel should turn easily from lock to unlock.

5. Under the Hood

No leaks should be present. This would be a safety concern for not only you, but others on the track.

6. Car Battery

Check that it is secured with a strap or harness and battery posts are covered.

What you can do:

7. Clean Windows

Clean your windows so your view is clear and unobstructed.

8. Clean Interior

Remove any loose objects from your car. Going at high speeds on the track creates the potential for things to move around. You don’t want to risk something being tossed your way creating a safety issue for you and potentially others on the track.
