When you get a 2017 300, you can choose between four trim levels to suit your needs and your budget. The Limited trim starts things off with features like heated front row seats with leather upholstery and an 8.4-inch touchscreen with Uconnect. After that is the 300S, a sport trim that delivers a performance suspension, better engine options, and an appearance package that comes standard with the V8 engine. The last two trims are the 300C and 300C Platinum, and between them you can get the best Chrysler has to offer: premium leather, heated and ventilated front seats, and even cup holders that can keep your drinks warm or cold.

Engine (Power)

The starting engine of a 2017 Chrysler 300 is a 3.6-liter V6 that gets 292 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The 300S trim offers a slight boost of 8 horses to get 300, but then you could also choose to upgrade to a 5.7-liter V8 and get 363 horsepower and 394 pound-feet of torque. Thanks to fuel-saving features like an eight-speed automatic transmission and a cut-off system that shuts down half the cylinders while cruising, these powerful engines are also remarkably efficient, with an EPA-estimated 19 city and 31 highway mpg for the V6 and 16/25 for the V8.

Performance

There's plenty to love about the 2017 300's performance. Every trim lets you choose between the standard rear-wheel drive or a more robust all-wheel drive system, but the 300S with a V8 engine is definitely your best option if you really want to unleash your wild side. Its performance suspension does cut down on the comfortable ride you get with the other three trims, but in exchange you get much better high-speed traction and a real feel for the road beneath you. Still, 300S or not, you can get a more exciting driving experience by getting a trim with Sport Mode, which adjusts everything from the gas pedal response to the steering wheel and transmission to maximize the 300's performance.

Interior

Interior space is not a problem in a full-size luxury car like the 2017 Chrysler 300, with a full 40.1 inches of leg room in the back row and a trunk that holds 16.5 cubic feet. The car also has plenty of high-tech features, but higher trims offer things like a Beats premium 10-speaker audio system.

Safety Features

The 2017 300 includes safety features like all-speed traction control, electronic stability control, and seven standard air bags. In terms of active driver assistance technology, you can expect features like the Chrysler ParkAssist rear back-up camera, ParkSense Front and Rear Park Assist sonar, and the Full Speed Forward Collision Warning Plus.
