2018 Acura TLX
It can be good to be the little nephew when your uncle is the Acura NSX. The TLX benefits from technology hand-me-downs. The lessons learned designing the NSX led to the luxurious and powerful TLX. This midsized performance sedan fits right between the ILX and RLX in Acura's lineup.
Trim Levels (Exterior)

The TLX only comes in one trim level. Standard features include a power moonroof, Jewel Eye LED headlamps, dual-zone climate control, heated front bucket seats, and adaptive cruise control.

You can add the Technology Package for the 10-speaker Elliot Scheiner audio system, blind spot monitoring, navigation, rear cross traffic assistance, and GPS-linked climate control that reacts to your local weather.

The Advance Package features wireless device charging, 18-inch wheels, ventilated front seats, surround-view camera system, and remote start.

The A-Spec Package turns an ordinary TLX into a showcase. Get NSX-inspired exterior design, 19-inch shark gray wheels, and red leather or black Alcantara sport seating with red accent lighting.

Engine (Power)

The TLX comes standard with an aluminum block direct-injected 2.4-liter, naturally aspirated inline four-cylinder engine. It loves to rev high, delivering 206 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and 182 pound-feet of torque at 4,500. Utilizing the same VTEC technology that made the Hondas and Acuras of the '90s the most desired and tuned sport compacts, the TLX gets 21 mpg in the city and 30 on the highway.

You can choose a 3.5-liter i-VTEC V-6 that produces 290 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque. Variable Cylinder Management deactivates three cylinders at highway speed to achieve 21 mpg in the city and 30 on the highway.

Performance
The 2.4 puts power to the pavement through an eight-speed dual clutch automatic transmission with paddle shifters and a torque converter. Reminiscent of the old-school Prelude, all-wheel steering is standard. The V-6 comes with a nine-speed automatic with paddle shifters. You can select Super Handling All-Wheel Drive with Torque Vectoring, one of the quickest all-wheel drive systems on the market, to help you handle poor traction and power you through tricky corners. The NSX-derived Integrated Dynamics System gives you the option of Normal, Economy, Sport, and Sport+ modes to tune the suspension, steering, and powertrain to your style.
Interior
The 2018 TLX comes with a quicker and more intuitive version of the On Demand Multi-Use Display, which is fully compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. When you sink into the TLX, you'll feel the luxury touches and ergonomics but never forget you're in a performance car.
Safety Features
AcuraWatch comes standard because safety is not an option. The package includes adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking, lane keeping assist, road departure warning, and vehicle stability assist. The ultra-high-strength safety cage is engineered to deflect the force of an impact away from the passengers. Fifty thousand miles or four years of roadside assistance with Total Luxury Care are included with the purchase of a TLX. The Acura TLX is the perfect balance of race-inspired performance and luxury in a midsized sedan package.

Compare to 2017 TLX
