2018 Dodge Durango

The full-sized SUV segment has many quality competitors. While many provide space and comfort, none deliver the pure fun factor of the Dodge Durango. When it comes to hauling passengers and gear, trust the people who brought you Hemi, SRT, Hellcat, and the Demon.

Road trips will never be the same.

Trim Levels (Exterior)

The entry-level SXT trim seats five with an optional third tow. It includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel, keyless start, dual-zone climate control, cloth seats, and rear parking sensors.

The GT version comes with an alarm system, heated leather seats, remote start, and standard three-row seating.

Upgrade to the Citadel model for an exterior luggage rack, standard power sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, front parking sensors, navigation, and more powerful audio.

To really get out of town in a hurry, choose the R/T version with sport exterior details, signature R/T interior, and the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8.

Take the family to the track with the SRT. It features the 6.4-liter Hemi V-8, high-performance SRT steering wheel, seven driving modes, and Laguna leather seats.

Engine (Power)

The Pentastar 3.6-liter V-6 comes standard on the SXT, GT, and Citadel versions. It delivers 295 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque while getting 19 mpg in the city and 26 on the highway.

The 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 is standard in the R/T and an option for the Citadel. It provides 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque with a fuel economy of 14/22.

The monster 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 in the SRT cranks out 475 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque while managing 13 mpg city and 19 highway.

Performance

All Durango versions use the TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic with paddle shifters. Use the manual mode to rev high when passing or downshift for bad weather traction. The SRT TorqueFlite is calibrated for performance driving.

The SRT is only available as all-wheel drive. Other models come standard in rear-wheel drive with all-wheel drive as an option.

With a 0-60 of 4.4 seconds, the SRT is America's fastest three-row SUV. It pulls a quarter mile in 12.9 seconds. It can tow 8,600 pounds. The 5.7 Hemi can pull up to 7,400 pounds, and V-6 versions are good for 6,200 pounds.

Interior

Critics salute the Uconnect infotainment system, which is Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatible, as one of the most intuitive in the industry. Select a 7-inch or 8.4-inch touch screen. Add the dual-screen Blu-ray theater system to keep the rear passengers entertained.

You have many available configurations for the interior. Choose five, seven, or eight seats. Select a second-row bench or captain's chairs. Rear cargo room is 17.2 cubic feet. It's 47.7 cubic feet with one row folded down or 84.5 cubic feet with both.

Safety Features

Add the Safety and Security Package to your Durango for forward collision warning, emergency braking, and blind spot monitoring. Rear cross traffic monitor, lane keeping assist, and lane departure warning are also optional. Eleven multistage air bags come standard, including side curtain and driver's knee.

The new Durango delivers the room you need, the features you want, and the performance you can't live without. No one else brings the whole package.
