2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
The 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a stylish and impressive option for buyers looking for an entry-level luxury sedan. With impressive standard and available features, this model is certainly worth a second look.
Trim Levels (Exterior)

The 2018 C-Class is available in three different body styles: sedan, coupe, and convertible, which Mercedes-Benz refers to as the Cabriolet. All three body styles come in five trim levels, which are C 300, C 300 4MATIC®, AMG® C 43, AMG® C 63, and AMG® C 63 S. This model shows off a few new exterior styling elements, including new headlights and taillights, along with a revised front fascia.

Exterior features on the C 300 and C 300 4MATIC® include a sunroof, 17-inch wheels (18-inch with the coupe), and automatic wipers. You can also add a panoramic sunroof and exterior trim elements. The AMG® C 43 trim adds glossy black trim, while the AMG® C 63 trims offer LED headlamps. Available packages add an electronic trunk closer or cornering headlamps with automatic high-beam control.

Engine (Power)

The engine beneath the hood of the C 300 trim levels is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that puts out 273 pound-feet of torque and 241 horsepower. It works with a seven-speed automatic transmission. Within the AMG® C 43 trim, you'll find a 3.0-liter turbocharged V-6 engine that pumps out 384 pound-feet of torque and 362 horsepower. It works with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

The most powerful engine is within the AMG® C 63 trim, which is a 4.0-liter turbocharged V-8. The output of this engine is 479 pound-feet of torque and 469 horsepower, while the top AMG® C 63 S trim raises output to 503 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. Both of these trim levels pair with a seven-speed automatic transmission.

Performance
The C 300 trim comes standard with rear-wheel drive, while the C 300 4MATIC® has all-wheel drive. The base engine is the most efficient, with EPA estimates coming in at 23 mpg in the city and 29-30 mpg on the highway, or 25-26 mpg combined, depending on whether you have rear-wheel drive or 4MATIC®. The V-6 and V-8 engines have less fuel economy, although the acceleration and power are worth the trade-off for most performance-minded drivers. In speed testing, the top trim went from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds.
Interior

Even the base trim of the 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class comes well-equipped with dual-zone automatic climate control; 10-way power-adjustable front seats; synthetic leather upholstery; a 7-inch central display screen; and an audio system with the COMAND® infotainment system, dual USB ports, and HD radio. The convertible version of this model also has Mercedes-Benz AIRSCARF® system, which delivers warm air to the neck and shoulders.

The AMG® C 43 trim adds keyless entry and ignition, satellite radio, and stylish interior trim. The AMG® C 63 and C 63 trims come with a premium sound system. Available upgrades include an 8.4-inch touch screen, ambient interior lighting, navigation, a cabin air purification and fragrance system, and sporty red seats with matching seat belts.

Safety Features
Every 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class model includes a drowsy driver monitoring system, frontal collision warning with mitigation, traction and stability control, and plenty of air bags. You can also add features like blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, rear collision warning with automatic braking, adaptive headlights, and a surround-view camera system.
