2018 Toyota Camry
Although the Toyota Camry has changed over the years, it remains one of the top options in the midsize sedan segment. The 2018 model shows off a redesigned exterior that looks sleeker and sits lower to the ground. See it today at Leith Toyota in Raleigh near Wake Forest, Durham and Cary.
Trim Levels (Exterior)

The 2018 Camry comes in five trim levels: L, LE, SE, XSE, and XLE. The exterior of the L boasts automatic LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, a black front grille, and 16-inch steel wheels. Step up to the LE to get 17-inch alloy wheels, or choose the midlevel SE trim for 18-inch wheels, revised steering calibration, and a sport-tuned suspension.

The XSE tacks on smoke-tinted headlights and taillights, a sporty gloss-black grille, heated side mirrors with integrated turn signals, a rear spoiler, dual chrome-tipped exhausts, and 19-inch black machined-finish alloy wheels. The XLE trim offers a chrome exhaust, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights, and a bright metallic front grille.

Engine (Power)

The standard engine across all trim levels is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder unit that produces 184 pound-feet of torque and 203 horsepower. In the XSE trim, the output increases to 186 pound-feet of torque and 206 horsepower. If that's not enough power, upgrade either of the upper trim levels to a 3.5-liter V-6 engine that rates at 267 pound-feet of torque and 301 horsepower. Both engine options pair with a new eight-speed automatic transmission.

Performance

With the four-cylinder engine, the EPA-estimated fuel economy comes in at 28 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway, or 32 mpg combined. The V-6 engine drops the estimates to 22 mpg in the city, 32 mpg on the highway, and 26 mpg combined. All models come with front-wheel drive.

Interior

The spacious cabin of this sedan offers plenty of space. Within the interior of the base trim, you'll find a 4.2-inch information screen; fabric-trimmed seats; Bluetooth connectivity; wood trim; chrome accents; and a six-speaker audio system with a USB port, auxiliary jack, Siri Eyes Free, a 7-inch touch screen, voice controls, and Toyota's Entune system. The LE comes with power-adjustable front seats and 60/40-split folding rear seats. In the middle of the heap, the SE offers a leather-trimmed steering wheel with paddle shifters and audio controls, along with mesh interior trim.

Within the XSE trim, features include dual-zone automatic climate control, a larger 7-inch information screen, heated and leather-trimmed front seats, and three selectable driving modes. At the top, the XLE boasts premium wood trim. Options include a 10-inch color head-up display, wireless device charging, and a JBL nine-speaker audio system with an 8-inch touch screen.

Safety Features

All models of the 2018 Camry come with stability and traction control, hill-start assist, ToyotaCare with emergency roadside assistance, 10 air bags, and Toyota's Safety Sense P package. This package offers a precollision system with pedestrian detection, dynamic radar cruise control, automatic high beams, and lane departure alert with steering assist. Available options include blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and SafetyConnect, with stolen vehicle locator and automatic collision notification.
