2019 BMW X2
The BMW X2 debuted in 2018 as a luxury crossover SUV. It has room for up to five passengers in its two rows of seats, offers an excellent driving experience, and it carries over to 2019 with the addition of the M35i trim. This performance-focused version will give drivers more horsepower and some extra performance features. Here are the details for the 2019 BMW X2.

Compare to 2018 X2
Trim Levels
The 2019 X2 will now come in three versions. The sDrive28i and the xDrive28i both come with 18-inch alloy wheels, LED fog lights, and LED headlights. They also have a power liftgate and automatic windshield wipers. The new M35i comes with sportier elements including newly designed side air intakes, and a Cerium Grey color. It has an M rear spoiler, an M Sport exhaust with two tailpipes, and adds 19-inch Orbit Grey M Sport alloy wheels. All three trims offer the option for a panoramic sunroof, power-folding mirrors, and auto-dimming side mirrors.
Engine (Power)
The sDrive28i and the xDrive28i come with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. This works with an eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive for the sDrive and the all-wheel drive for the xDrive. The M35i has a 2.0-liter TwinPower turbo engine that delivers 302 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. This model also comes standard with BMW's xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive, and it has an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
Both versions of the X3 offer a good ride and excellent performance. The more powerful M35i will get the little SUV up to 60 miles per hour in just 4.9 seconds, and BMW tuned the M Sport suspension system to meet the extra power and sportier character. The all-wheel-drive system in the M35i or the xDrive28i makes the vehicle feel agile around corners.
Interior
There is room for up to five passengers in the X3 with spacious front seats that both come standard with an eight-way power adjustment. The cabin features the upscale materials you expect in a BMW with high-end trim elements in wood and metal to add to the look. Behind the rear seats, there are 21.6 cubic feet of cargo space, and if you fold the rear seats down, the area opens up to just over 50 cubic feet. All trims come with the iDrive infotainment system, a 6.5-inch touch screen display, and Apple CarPlay. BMW offers the option to upgrade to an 8.8-inch touch screen, and you can also get a Wi-Fi hot spot, navigation, satellite radio, and wireless charging along with a 12-speaker Harman Kardon surround-sound stereo system.
Safety Features
All the X2 models come standard with a rearview camera and both front and rear parking sensors. BMW makes additional safety equipment available through packages so you can add features such as active parking assist, daytime pedestrian detection, and a head-up display. You can also get stop-and-go adaptive cruise control, a speed limit sign recognition system, lane departure warning, and BMW's forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking system.
