Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 300 comes in four different trim levels. Starting with the 300 Touring, you'll get 17-inch wheels with the rear-wheel drive models and 19-inch wheels if you opt for all-wheel drive. It also comes with heated side mirrors, and you'll get keyless entry. The 300S adds 20-inch wheels, performance tires, and a sport-tuned suspension for the rear-wheel drive. Bumping up to the Limited adds interior upgrades, and the 300C comes with 20-inch wheels, and adaptive xenon headlights. There is also a panoramic sunroof available as an option for any of the trims.
Engine (Power)
The base engine for the 300 is a 3.6-liter V-6 that generates 292 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. This same engine will produce 300 horsepower in the 300S, and it gets 264 pound-feet of torque. It comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission in both models, along with rear-wheel drive with all-wheel drive offered as an option. A more powerful 5.7-liter V-8 engine is standard for the 300C and an option for the 300S. This will get 363 horsepower and 394 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
Considering the size and weight of the 300, it gets impressive gas mileage. You can get up to 30 mpg on the highway with 19 mpg ion in the city with the V-6, and these are just slightly lower with the V-8. Passengers will enjoy a smooth ride, and it will handle itself well on winding roads. While the V-6 has more than enough power to easily get the 300 going, the V-8 will take this sedan from zero to 60 in just 5.7 seconds. The acceleration is so smooth that you almost don't feel it, but the deep rumble of the engine makes sure you hear it.
Interior
There is an abundance of room in the 300's cabin for its five passengers, and the interior space looks and feels like a luxury vehicle. There are high-quality materials throughout, and even the base model has a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a power-adjustable driver's seat. The S adds leather upholstery, and the Limited comes with heated rear seats and a power-adjustable and heated steering wheel. For technology, an 8.4-inch touch screen comes standard along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. It also comes with satellite radio and two USB ports. Moving up the trims will add extras such as heated and cooled cupholders, remote start, and driver's seat memory settings.
Safety Features
All the models except the Touring offer the option for the Safety Tex Plus Package. This comes with safety technology features such as automatic high beams, front and rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. It also adds a forward collision warning system with mitigation, automatic windshield wipers, and a lane keep assist system.
