2020 Ford Edge
The 2020 Ford Edge SUV offers power, performance, and comfort. It's ideal for a comfortable commute, a scenic drive, or a fun family trip. Here are some more details about the 2020 Edge.
Trim Levels
This SUV has four impressive trim levels: SE, SEL, Titanium, and ST. It has a prominent black honeycomb grille with the Ford Blue Oval in the center and a bold, modern look. It comes with power-folding side mirrors, and the headlights turn on automatically when you activate the windshield wipers. You can add black roof rails, fog lights, heated side mirrors with memory settings, headlights with attractive LED signature lighting, dual exhaust, a rear spoiler, and turn signals in the side mirrors.
Engine
Most of the 2020 Ford Edge's trim levels have a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine that uses premium fuel and generates 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. The ST comes with a 2.7-liter, twin-turbo V-6 motor that also requires premium fuel. It produces 335 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
The SE, SL, and Titanium trims are available with two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, and the ST comes with four-wheel drive. All of the trim levels use an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the four-wheel-drive versions have a fun manual mode. Both engines are overdrive capable, so they can travel at high speeds while keeping RPMs low. The 2020 Edge can transfer torque to individual wheels as needed, improving performance, grip, handling, and stability. The 2.0-liter engine can travel 21 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway, and the 2.7-liter motor can go 19 mpg in urban areas and 26 mpg on the open road.
Interior
The Edge was designed with convenience and comfort in mind, and it has a variety of useful features. It comes with keyless entry, remote start, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, two USB ports, and a bank of four 12-volt DC power outlets to help you keep all of your devices charged and running. The key fob even has buttons to control the windows. The steering wheel is equipped with audio and cruise control buttons to help you keep both hands on the wheel, and the Edge has dual-zone automatic climate control. Other standard features include SiriusXM satellite radio, eight cupholders, a Wi-Fi hot spot, voice recognition, a compass, and an Easy Fuel capless fuel filler to keep you from losing a gas cap.
You can also add wireless charging, a foot-activated liftgate, a heated steering wheel, a universal garage door opener, adaptive cruise control, and a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system. A DVD entertainment system with two screens in the backs of the front headrests is available as well.
Safety Features
The 2020 Ford Edge is built with safety in mind. It's equipped with eight air bags, a rearview camera, and a forward collision mitigation system with automatic emergency braking. A blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert, a front 180-degree camera with a split view and a washer, and front, rear, and parallel parking assistance are available as well. Sources:
