Trim Levels (Exterior)
This sporty SUV has a large, angular black grille with the Honda emblem in the center. It's surrounded by matching headlights and the hood is sculpted. Four trim levels are available: Sport, EX-L, Touring, and Elite. The Sport trim comes with dual exhaust, rear privacy glass, a rear windshield wiper and washer, a spoiler, and fog lights.
With the EX-L and higher trims, you'll get a power moonroof, memory settings for the side mirrors, a power tailgate, and an acoustic windshield. Choose the Touring or the Elite for roof rails. The Elite has rain-sensing windshield wipers and auto-dimming power-folding heated side mirrors as well.
Engine (Power)
The Honda Passport has a 3.5-liter V-6 engine that produces 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. It has a nine-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters to make shifting gears effortless.
Performance
This SUV is versatile and fun to drive. The variable cylinder management system activates the lowest possible number of cylinders in the engine to conserve fuel, and active noise cancellation gives you a quiet ride. The Passport's engine shuts off when you stop in traffic to save additional gas, and accessories like climate control will stay on. It also has an independent suspension, power steering, electronic stability control, and traction control.
Models with all-wheel drive can get 19 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway, and their intelligent traction management systems have sand, snow, and mud driving modes. They can tow up to 5,000 pounds. Vehicles with front-wheel drive can pull 3,500 pounds, and they can get 20 mpg in traffic and 25 mpg on the highway.
Interior
With the Passport, you and your passengers can enjoy many convenient features, including keyless entry, cruise control, push-button start, three-zone automatic climate control, under-floor storage compartments, controls on the steering wheel, and 11 cup holders. It also comes with folding rear seats, a 5-inch LCD screen, voice recognition, and a 215-watt, seven-speaker audio system with a subwoofer.
Additional options include a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a 10-way power driver's seat with memory settings, heated and ventilated leather seats, and an 8-inch touch screen. You can also choose Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, SiriusXM satellite radio, navigation, wireless charging, a 115-volt power outlet, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. A 540-watt, 10-speaker sound system with a subwoofer is optional as well.
Safety Features
The 2020 Honda Passport's extensive safety features will add to your peace of mind when you travel. It has adaptive cruise control, automated emergency braking, hill start assistance, automatic high-beams, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, and lane keeping assistance. The advanced front air bags can deploy at various speeds for optimal protection, and the EX-L and higher trims have a blind-spot information system with cross-traffic alert.
