2021 GMC Yukon
If you're looking for a truck-based SUV, check out the 2021 GMC Yukon. From a variety of trim levels to the power under the hood, you're sure to find everything you need with this new SUV. Read on to learn more about the newest Yukon on the market.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2021 GMC Yukon comes in four trim levels: SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali. Every GMC Yukon features a sleek exterior, but some minor details set each trim level apart. When it comes to the exterior mirrors, the Denali comes standard with heated, power-folding adjustable mirrors whereas the other trims do not. In terms of wheels, the SLT has 20-inch six-spoke polished aluminum wheels, and the Denali has 20-inch six-spoke multidimensional polished aluminum wheels. In addition, the SLT has bright chrome body-side moldings while the Denali has satin chrome body-side moldings.
Engine (Power)
Every 2021 GMC Yukon apart from the Denali comes with a 5.3-liter V-8 engine that produces 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. If you want more power, opt for the top-tier Denali, which features a 6.2-liter V-8 engine that generates 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Both are great engines that provide the Yukon with enough power to get you to your next destination with ease.
Performance
A 10-speed automatic transmission under the hood comes standard. In addition, while rear-wheel drive comes standard with every trim, you can get four-wheel drive as an option on all trim levels apart from the AT4 where it's already standard. Whereas four-wheel drive sends torque to all four of the vehicle's wheels, rear-wheel drive sends it to the SUV's rear tires.
In terms of fuel mileage, all trims apart from the top-tier Denali get you 16 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway. By comparison, the Denali gets you 15 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway.
Interior
The GMC Yukon comes with several luxuries within the cabin. A leather steering wheel is featured on all trims, and the AT4 and Denali come with a heated steering wheel. In addition, while the base level has a cloth interior, all other editions have leather seating. To help your Yukon reach an optimal temperature in the cabin, take advantage of the three-zone climate control with every trim level.
When it comes to entertainment, the GMC Yukon doesn't disappoint. All trim levels have an AM/FM and satellite radio and a USB connection. The Denali's satellite radio even features real-time traffic. While the base comes with a six-speaker audio system, the SLT and AT4 feature a Bose nine-speaker audio system, and the Denali has a Bose 14-speaker surround with CenterPoint audio system.
Safety Features
Every trim level has dual front side-mounted air bags, stability control, tire pressure monitoring, a pre- and post-collision safety system, an emergency braking assist, and traction control. In addition, all trims apart from the base level feature blind spot and lane departure warnings. As an added precaution, you also get a remote anti-theft alarm system with all trims.
