Whether you're driving to work, traveling across the city, or heading out on a family vacation, the Pilot is the ideal vehicle to do it in. Here's everything you need to know about what the 2021 Honda Pilot has to offer.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2021 Honda Pilot comes available in seven trim levels: LX, EX, EX-L, Special Edition, Touring, Elite, and Black Edition. Standard features across all trim levels include LED lights, fin-style roof-mounted antenna, privacy glass, intermittent windshield wipers, remote entry, body-colored power side mirrors, and a roofline spoiler with integrated brake lights. The upper Pilot trims come with LED fog lights, heated side mirrors with LED turning signals, a moonroof, power liftgate, and Honda's Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto Lock.
Engine (Power)
All of the 2021 Pilot's trims are equipped with a 24-Valve SOHC i-VTEC 3.5-liter V-6 engine that pairs with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Every trim except the Black Edition comes standard with a front-wheel-drive system, and the Black Edition comes standard with Honda's all-wheel-drive system. The all-wheel drive is available on all of the Pilot's trim levels. The 3.5-liter V-6 is capable of generating up to 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, giving you the power you need to get up and go.
Performance
With the front-wheel-drive system, the Pilot offers a smooth and responsive driving experience. The all-wheel-drive system offers a bit more traction, and Honda ensures you're comfortable with the PIlot's MacPherson strut front suspension and multi-link rear suspension. Power-assisted ventilated front brakes and solid rear disc brakes ensure you can stop short in an instant in case of an emergency. All trims come equipped with a direct fuel injection system, making acceleration immediate and highly responsive. The Eco Assist System gives the Pilot an idle-off mode, which saves on fuel and adds to the efficiency of the engine.
Interior
The 2021 Honda Pilot offers quite a bit in comfort and convenience, including standard features like a 5-inch central touchscreen display, seven-speaker audio system, adaptive cruise control, power-adjustable front seats, keyless entry, and tri-zone automatic climate control. The upper trims add heated front seats, an 8-inch touch screen, a 10-speaker audio system, one-touch slide-and-fold seats, leather upholstery, and a sunroof. Connectivity in the Pilot EX and above includes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and WiFi hotspot capabilities, HondaLink, CabinControl Remote capabilities, text messaging functions, Sirius XM Satellite Radio, and HD Radio.
Safety Features
All 2021 Pilot trims come with standard Honda Sensing safety and security technology, including an advanced airbag deployment system, adaptive cruise control with distance monitoring, forward collision alerts with automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights.
More features of the Honda Sensing safety tech include a road departure warning and mitigation system and lane departure warning. It also offers a multi-angle rear camera, vehicle stability assist, traction control, tire pressure monitoring, and LED daytime running lights.
