The question I kept hearing during our LeithCars.com NASCAR unveiling at Leith Toyota, whether it be from customers, race fans or the Leith Toyota staff was, "Is that the real race car or a demo?" My reply was the same every time, "This is the real race car you'll be seeing on Charlotte Motor Speedway's new #ROVAL race course September 29th. "Find your line and FOCUS."" That was the well-seasoned advice given to NASCAR driver Timmy Hill in the Xfinity Series Garage at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Hill was preparing to race in the Drive for the Cure 200 September 29th at Charlotte Motor Speedway's new "Roval." Timmy's advice came from one of NASCAR's old-school heritage drivers, Gene Hobby, who drove in the Grand National Series in the mid-1960s. Gene was a guest of honor for LeithCars.com, the primary sponsor of one of NASCAR's most followed underdog teams, MBM Motorsports, and the #66 Toyota.

Throwback Race Car Design

The #66 LeithCars.com Toyota Camry's design is a tribute to Gene Hobby and his 1965 Grand National race car which he raced on the East Coast, including at Occoneechee Speedway near Hillsborough, N.C. and who was featured in an episode of Our State "Best Kept Secrets in the Triangle." Special call-outs and elements are featured on this throwback design.
