first 2017 acura nsx

In case you haven’t heard, the Acura NSX is back, and it’s first production model just rolled off the assembly line in Ohio. It’s an important milestone for Acura, who discontinued the NSX in 2005. Acura hopes the new generation NSX will grow to compete with luxury supercars like the BMW i8, and the Mercedes-Benz AMG.

The 2017 Acura NSX

Here’s the scoop on the new NSX: It’s powered by a twin-turbo V6 and two electric motors. It’s got 573 horsepower and 476 lb-.ft of torque that it sends to all four wheels. The top speed is approximately 191 miles per hour, and it goes from 0 to 60 in 2.7 seconds. Count to three right now, and then imagine that speed.

It’s also beautifully designed for those brief moments when you’re going slow enough to be admired.

Plus, it’s built here

One of the things we like best about the Acura NSX, is that it’s built in America. You can’t say that about many brands these days, so it’s nice to see Honda making an effort to produce in the states.

Can’t afford the New NSX?

At the price tag of $156,000 the Acura NSX is what you would call: “exclusive.” We certainly won’t be picking one up anytime soon. But if you’re like us, you don’t want the Acura NSX dreams to end there. Luckily for you, Acura has an NSX configurator.

If you don’t want your NSX dreams to end there, you can always grab an earlier model for a third or even a quarter of the price.
