Leith Cars Blog

RPM

Despite being another drizzly winter’s day, people are still visiting dealerships because transportation waits for no man. It’s these ordinary, daily visits that we value so much and try to show every person who walks in that we appreciate their time.

For this reason our Tuesday blog series is called RPM: Real People Matter, wherein we search out a story of someone having a fantastic experience at a Leith dealership and write about it. Today’s story was supplied just a few days ago when a customer named JP Powers went on Cars.com to write a review about Leith Toyota Scion in Raleigh.

Powers writes that he had been thinking about the Scion FR-S for some time, way back into 2013 when it was first announced. Despite having an idea of what he or she wanted, Powers decided to check out some alternative sports cars in the same price range first. After a brief, unsatisfying stop at another dealership, Powers went to Leith Toyota Scion on a Saturday afternoon.

Within a few minutes of browsing, Powers was greeted by one of our sales people, Matt Giannattasio. Grabbing the keys for an impromptu test drive, Matt was able to show Powers how fun the FR-S was to drive, which confirmed many of Powers’ instincts about the car. Returning to the lot they talked a bit about finances, then Powers left to keep his head clear and run the numbers during the week.

This is a crucial point because a significant purchase like a car demands careful thought and planning. Powers appreciated that Matt didn’t put pressure for a quick decision or imply that walking away was in any way a bad thing. Often times people just want to conduct research and get some hands-on impressions about a vehicle—at Leith we see this all the time—and it’s more important that people feel comfortable than hurried. Ideally, stopping by a Leith dealership should be as relaxed at stopping by a friend’s place to check out a new car.

Powers writes that he ended up coming back the following weekend having crunched the numbers himself and deciding he was ready. Sitting down with Matt again, he was able to drive off with his brand new FR-S within a few hours, having spent less than they had anticipated the week before.

According to Powers, “I could have went to a few different dealerships to get my new car. I went back to Leith because Matt was a nice guy, understood my concerns, and let me pull the trigger in my own time. That’s something I respect, and the reason I’ll ask my friends to visit him when they’re looking for something new themselves.”

You can read the review in full on Cars.com and we hope that this example illuminated the benefit of visiting a Leith Dealership.
