The end of summer 2016 is approaching, and that means we’re drawing closer to Amazon Prime’s vague “autumn 2016” launch date for The Grand Tour – Jeremey Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May’s new show, if you were wondering. Here’s the latest news we could find on The Grand Tour.

The gang’s all here

According to The Grand Tour’s Facebook page, filming is going quite well. Clarkson, Hammond, and May have been traveling all across the globe since July 17^th, pitching their tents in South Africa, London, Barbados, and Albania. You’ve got to check it out.

They’ve also been posting some 30 to 60 second video clips on their new YouTube page, which are funny enough, but fans (us included) are hungry for more. Here are some of the clips if you haven’t seen them yet.

Amazon seems pretty adamant that the show will be released in Autumn of 2016, which translates (in our mind) to any time between late September and November. But since they haven’t given a specific date, it could come out as late at December. I can just see Clarkson’s tweet now: “We said Autumn 2016, but we were in Tanzania, where it’s currently 32 degrees Celsius and rising.”

Their next move

Next, The Grand Tour will be pitching their tent in The Golden State! Unfortunately, the applications to join them have already closed. But don’t worry, you’ll have more chances to see these three live in the future – as long as you don’t wait too long. Cus you know, they’re getting old. What to expect

The Grand Tour will be a series of 12 episodes all filmed in different locations around the world. Each episode will be more like a complete film, though. Much like their Botswana Special, or their Vietnam Special. We feel like these were always the best episodes, so we can’t wait to see what The Grand Tour has to offer. Especially with that massive budget.
