There is a point in the week where the writers of Leith kick back with a plate of crackers and cheese, prop our feet on a communal barrel and hold forth on what was the best blog post written by our 30+ dealerships this week. Tempers rise, words are said, beards shaken, and lives changed, but ultimately truth emerges like a great blue heron lifting out of the fog of a Savannah morning. Best in Class means that we seek out the most entertaining, informative or impressive contribution to the world of letters this week, and lay it on the altar of public opinion.
This week, it’s the test drive review of the S-Class at Mercedes-Benz of Cary. This is Mercedes-Benz’s top-of-the-line sedan, a three-ton behemoth with more gadgetry, paegantry and wizardry than most of us will ever experience in our lives. If only to have a peak on what the fanciest of the 1% will giver their teenagers for completing driver’s ed, it’s well worth a read.
